Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has expressed deep grief over the death of 12-year-old Kumari Jamalo Madakam of village Aded in Bijapur district. Expressing deep condolences, he had sanctioned an amount of Rs one lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the families of Kumari Madam as immediate assistance. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel today gave an additional approval of Rs. 4 lakh from Chief Minister’s Voluntary Fund after discussion with the Collector. In this way a total financial assistance of 5 lakh rupees has been sanctioned to the families of Kumari Madakam. The Chief Minister has also directed Collector Bijapur to investigate the matter and submit a report.
The state government is providing all possible help to the workers affected by the lockdown. MNREGA and Tendupatta collection and Gothan works are being started. In which large number of people will get employment. It is worth mentioning that for the trapped laborers in Chhattisgarh and other states of the country, more than one lakh 85 thousand laborers, who are in trouble, including food, lodging and other problems were quickly resolved. Relief was provided to 81 thousand 711 workers trapped in other states outside Chhattisgarh. Around 24 lakh 31 thousand rupees have also been deposited in the account of seven thousand 384 laborers out of the trapped laborers in other states.
The state government has constituted a team of officers to monitor the problems of workers in other states of the country and is constantly monitoring them. For this, helpline numbers have been set up at the state level including the helpline numbers 0771-2443809, 91098-49992, 75878-22800 at the state level by the Labor Department. Problems of laborers received through helpline number are being registered and resolved immediately.
