Chief Minister Informs the leaders about the arrangements made during lockdown
Shri Baghel says, special care is being taken of the needs of poor and weaker sections
Raipur, 9 April 2020. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today telephoned several MLAs including Leader of the Opposition Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, former Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, MLA Mr. Dharmajit Singh and Mr. Mohan Markam to inquire about the condition of their areas and discuss the arrangements made in the state during lockdown period and the situation after April 14.He also invited their suggestions on the prevailing situation. The Chief Minister discussed in detail the arrangements made during the lockdown in the state for the prevention and control of corona virus (Covid-19).
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel discussed the relief measures taken for the poor and weaker sections and the condition in their areas during the lockdown in a telephonic conversation with legislators including Leader of the Opposition Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik and former Chief Minister Mr. Raman Singh. The Chief Minister said that the interests of all sections are being taken care of. All essential arrangements, including ration and medicines have been kept free from lockdown.
The Chief Minister informed that two months free ration is being distributed to poor families. In rural areas, two quintals of grain has been kept in each panchayat for the needy. Apart from this, food is being arranged in collaboration with voluntary organizations and industrial groups. Donation on wheels campaign is being conducted in Raipur city. In order to prevent corona virus infection, social distancing is being completely followed in the villages. Barriers have been constructed in many villages for the purpose of monitoring. Social distancing has also been asked to be followed during the harvesting of rabi crops.
E-pass has been arranged by the means of an app for the vehicles to supply essential goods. Food and accommodation have been arranged for the workers coming from other states, near the state border. Similarly, assistance is being provided to stranded workers in other states. All the collectors have been instructed to make necessary arrangements in coordination with the collectors of the respective states for the necessary arrangements, including food accommodation for the workers. Apart from this, the assistance amount is being sent to their accounts for other needs.
The Chief Minister said that apart from AIIMS Raipur, tests have been arranged in Jagdalpur for testing corona virus. Apart from this, hundred beds are being arranged in all districts for the treatment of people suffering from corona infection. Arrangements are being made for 500 beds in Ambedkar Smriti Hospital and 100 beds in Mana Civil Hospital and 200-200 beds in other medical colleges of the state.
