Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Krishna Janmashtami. On this occasion, he has wished everyone happiness, prosperity and happiness. In his congratulatory message issued on the eve of Janmashtami, the Chief Minister has said that Lord Shri Krishna has always shown us the way to walk on the path of truth and stand against injustice. His life-lilies tell us the right way to live life in various adversity. The lessons given by him are relevant to every situation of life.
Shri Baghel said that in the Puranas there is a description of the pastimes of Lord Krishna around the Kadamba tree and the lush green gardens. Due to the immense utility of trees for humans, they have been given an important place in our traditions. The state government is going to start a new chapter of nature and environment conservation in Chhattisgarh by developing ‘Krishna Kunj’ from Shri Krishna Janmashtami. It has been named ‘Krishna Kunj’ to connect the plantation with the people and its cultural heritage and to give it a unique identity. Banyan, Peepal, in all urban areas from Janmashtami Beginning to develop ‘Krishna Kunj’ by planting life-useful trees of cultural importance like Neem and Kadamba. The Chief Minister has said that at present the environmental crisis is deepening due to indiscriminate harvesting. To protect the environment and keep the environment clean, future generations have to be made aware about the traditional importance of trees. It should be our primary responsibility to preserve the priceless heritage of trees.
