Raipur, 05 October 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has expressed happiness over the excellent performance of students of Chhattisgarh Government-run Prayas Residential School in JEE Advanced Examination. Wishing the students a bright future in this examination, they have congratulated them and best wishes. Attempted JEE Advanced Exam 38 students of residential schools have succeeded in getting admission in IITs. The exam result for admission to IIT was released today. The students of Prayas residential schools run by the Tribal Department in the state have performed well in the examination results announced today on Monday for the prestigious JEE Advanced Examination for admission to engineering institutes funded by IITs, NITs and Central Government. It is noteworthy that this year 157 students qualified for the JEE Advanced exam. Out of these, 146 students appeared in the JEE Advanced exam held on 27 September and 38 students have qualified for admission to IIT. The maximum number of 28 students who have qualified for the JEE Advanced examination are from Attempt Boys Residential School Raipur. Apart from this, a total of 38 students including three students from Prayas Residential School Durg and Prayas Residential School Ambikapur, two each from Prayas Kanya Residential School Raipur and Prayas Residential School Jagdalpur have qualified for admission to IITs.
Tribal Welfare Department officials said that so far 52 students of Prayas Residential School have been admitted to IIT / equivalent, 173 students to NIT / TripleIT / equivalent, 35 students to medical colleges and 695 students to various engineering colleges.
