Raipur: Chief Minister condemns Naxalite attack in Narayanpur

Raipur 20 August 2021. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has condemned the incident of ambush by Naxalites on ITBP personnel who were on a search between Kademeta and Kadenar in Narayanpur district today. Two officers of 45th Battalion of ITBP have been martyred in the Naxalite attack. The Chief Minister has said that due to the bravery of our jawans, Naxalites have been defeated and they are fighting their last battle. He said that the martyrdom of the soldiers would not go in vain. Naxalites will never succeed in their intention.
It is to be known that today a team of ITBP 45th Corps from Kademeta Camp of district Narayanpur had left the camp for the domination of the surrounding area. At around 12.10 pm, the Naxalites ambushed the ITBP party in Bencha Mor between Kademeta to Kadenar. The firing lasted for about half an hour. During the firing, ITBP’s Assistant Fighter Shri Sudhakar Shinde and Assistant Sub Inspector Shri Gurmukh Singh were martyred on the spot due to bullet injuries. Immediately after the incident, a joint force of DRG and ITBP 45th Corps was dispatched for intensive search of the surrounding areas.
The last salute of Martyr Assistant Fighter Shri Sudhakar Shinde and Martyr Assistant Sub Inspector Shri Gurmukh Singh was given at Protected Center Narayanpur. During this, Bastar Range IG Shri Sundar Raj P, DIG Kanker Range Shri Balaji Rao Somawar, Collector Narayanpur Shri Dharmesh Sahu, Superintendent of Police Narayanpur Shri Uday Kiran, Additional Superintendent of Police Shri Neeraj Chandrakar, and senior public representatives Sarvshree Rajnu Netam, Devnath Usendi, Brijmohan Agarwal , Jackie Kashyap, Ratan Dubey, Pankaj Jain, Sudeep Jha were present.
