Raipur 29 August 2021 . Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has said that due to scanty rainfall and non-rainfall, drought situation has arisen in many areas of the state. The government of Chhattisgarh stands with the farmers in every hour of calamity. The farmer brothers who have sowed paddy, kodo-kutki, tur in Kharif season now, if their crop gets spoiled due to lack of rain. Whether there is production or not, the government will give them an assistance of Rs 9000 per acre. He said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, drought affected farmers would also be given assistance at the rate of Rs 9000 per acre on the basis of Girdavari survey.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel announced to publish the biography of Pandwani artist Late Shri Punaram Nishad and Late Shri Madan Kumar Nishad Nacha-Gamat Kalakar and directed the Chairman of Text Book Corporation to take necessary action in this regard. The Chief Minister said that it is necessary so that the coming generation can get information about the contribution of ancestors. The Chief Minister said that the government is concerned about the feelings, traditions, Teej-festivals and values are respected and Chhattisgarhia is taking forward self-respect. He said that now the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana has been started by the Chhattisgarh government to provide assistance of Rs 6000 per year to the landless agricultural labor families. To take advantage of this scheme, eligible people were also called to register from 1st September. The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government has named Bilaspur Airport after the deity of fishermen society, Mrs. Bilasa Devi. Fishing has been given the status of agriculture. He said that with this, fish farmers and fishermen have started getting loan facility at zero percent interest at par with farmers.
