Raipur, 07 December 2021. Chief Minister  Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the Institute of Driving and Traffic Research Chhattisgarh on December 9 at 10.30 am in village Leopard Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar. Transport Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar will preside over the event. Lok Sabha MP Shri Sunil Soni, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Parliamentary Secretaries Shri Shishupal Sori and Shri Chandradev Rai and MLA Shri Dhanendra Sahu will be present as special guests in the program.

 

The Institute of Driving and Traffic Research has been established at a cost of Rs.17 crore on a huge land area of ​​20 acres in village Leopard. Driving training will be given by expert trainers of Maruti Suzuki Company in this institute. To ensure that the transport system in the roads is safe and smooth, accidents are minimized, for this purpose, youth will be given quality training to drive heavy vehicles and non-commercial vehicles at minimum rates and they will be made aware of traffic rules. Situated amidst the natural beauty of Nava Raipur, this institute has been designed keeping in mind all the modern facilities of training.

Training will be given for 30 days for driving large vehicles like trucks, buses and 21 days for driving non-commercial vehicles in the institute. In this institute, 5 smart class rooms have been set up for training, where about 250 people can be trained simultaneously. Trainees will be made aware of traffic rules and other road safety manuals. After completing the training, the license will be issued to the students immediately. Along with this, those driving heavy vehicles will be assisted in getting jobs in factories across the state.

Trainees will be given training through simulator equipped with state-of-the-art technologies in the institute. The facility of LMV Simulator for Light Motor Vehicle and HMV Simulator for Heavy Motor Vehicle is available in the Institute. A real-time simulator has also been set up to deal with the difficult situations like rain, storm, storm etc. while driving.
The institute has a technical lab to explain the technical aspects of the vehicle, where the working of the engine, brakes and other parts will be explained through live models. This is a residential institute, where the youth of Chhattisgarh will be able to take training by staying in a well-equipped hostel. The youth from far flung areas of the state are showing eagerness for training in the institute.
Arrangements have been made for 80 students to stay together in the institute and a canteen has also been made so that they can get good food.

Along with training, care has also been taken for the entertainment of the students in the institute, for which arrangement has been made for TV room, play area and a library for enrichment of knowledge. Along with training, taking care of the physical and mental health of the students, yoga rooms and medical rooms have also been set up. In the institute, meeting rooms for meetings, air-conditioned conference rooms for conferences and admin rooms have been set up to ensure smooth functioning of the institute. A huge air-conditioned auditorium has also been built in the institute. Different types of tracks have been made for training in the institute, in which youth can learn better driving in different types of conditions. In IDTR, training will be given on eight figure track, gradient, reverse parking, lane changing.
