On the occasion of 75th Independence Day to the families of the brave sons of Chhattisgarh who made supreme sacrifice of their lives in the line of duty, on the occasion of 75th Independence Day, on August 13, 2022, by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in the capital Raipur and ministers in remaining districts of Chhattisgarh state, Legislators and public representatives will be honored.
After the formation of the state of Chhattisgarh, 32 soldiers of the armed forces have sacrificed their lives for the security of the country at the altar of duty.
After the formation of Chhattisgarh State, a total of 1344 jawans including 802 jawans of Chhattisgarh Police Force and 542 jawans of Central forces have given martyrdom in the line of duty.
The natives of Chhattisgarh, whose martyrdom has happened during the posting of military forces (Army, Air Force and Navy), and the families of the soldiers of Chhattisgarh State Force and Central Forces who were martyred in the state of Chhattisgarh will be among those honored.
