Raipur, 25 October 2022, As usual, as per tradition, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached Jajangiri and Kumhari village of Patan block today and offered prayers to Gaura Gauri and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.
On this occasion, Mr. Birender Thakur hit the hands of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel with a stick as per tradition. It is a popular belief that on the occasion of Gaura Gauri Puja, being struck with a rod averts evil and brings prosperity. The Chief Minister takes part in this folk ritual every year to wish for the prosperity of the state.
After reaching Jajangiri, the Chief Minister greeted the people on Diwali. He said that the festival of lights should continue to illuminate the lives of you people like this. The Chief Minister said that every time I feel very happy to come amongst you and my heart becomes happy by sharing the joy of Diwali with you.
After this, Chief Minister Shri Baghel also participated in Gaura Gauri Puja in Kumhari. Here also the Chief Minister congratulated the people on Diwali and wished them happiness and prosperity.
He said that it gives great pleasure to enjoy the folk tradition on the occasion of Deepawali. I feel very happy every time I come among you guys.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also visited the city along with the worship of Gaura Gauri.
