Raipur, 15 December 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid homage to the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his death anniversary by paying homage to him at his residence office here today.
Shri Baghel said that Sardar Patel played a leading role in the Indian freedom struggle. During the struggle for independence, he provided efficient leadership to many movements. After attaining independence, he made an unforgettable contribution to the integration of the country by merging the princely states into the Indian Union. Due to his steely intentions, he is known as the Iron Man.
