Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to the famous art seeker and music expert of Chhattisgarh Maharaja Chakradhar Singh on his birth anniversary on August 19. The Chief Minister has said that Maharaja Chakradhar Singh of Raigad has a remarkable contribution in preserving and promoting the glorious culture of music and classical dance. Immersed in the depths of experience and music, he developed a distinctive form of Kathak, which is known as Raigad Gharana. Along with this, he composed many bands and literary works of dance and music genre. The credit goes to Maharaja Chakradhar Singh for making Raigarh a major cultural center of the country.
Shri Baghel said that in order to perpetuate the contribution of Maharaj Chakradhar Singh in the promotion and preservation of music and dance arts, the All India Chakradhar Samaroh is organized every year in Raigad, in which eminent artists of the country perform. Along with this, Raja Chakradhar Singh Samman is given by the Government of Chhattisgarh for his remarkable contribution in the field of music and art. The Chief Minister said that Maharaj Chakradhar Singh would always be remembered for his extraordinary contribution in the field of music and art.
