Raipur, 25 January 2022. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has opened a new door for the development of Abujhmad including the entire Bastar zone by dedicating Chhindnar bridge over Indravati river in Dantewada district at a cost of Rs 47 crore to the people of Bastar region today. This bridge will connect Dantewada, Bijapur, Narayanpur, Bastar district and Bastar with Abujhmad. The Chief Minister said that this bridge of Chhindnar is not an ordinary bridge, but it is an extraordinary bridge of development from Bastar to Abujhmad. Through this, the rays of development have started reaching Abujhmad. With the construction of this bridge, not only the villages on both sides of the Indravati river are connected, Rather, due to this development and basic facilities have started reaching the common people. On the occasion of the inauguration of Chhindnar Bridge, the Chief Minister gifted 814 development and construction works worth Rs 251 crore to Dantewada district. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel also inaugurated the newly established Denex Garment Factory at Katekalyan and Karli on the occasion. A total of four new factories have started in Dantewada district, including these two garment factories, within a year. Earlier, garment factories were started in Haram and Barasur. So far, clothes worth Rs.30 crores have been supplied all over the country through garment factories.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has given Rs.10 crore for the development works of village panchayats across the river Indravati, Rs.2.50 crore for construction of new building of Community Health Center at Kuakonda, Rs.2 crore for renovation of Community Health Center at Katekalyan. The Chief Minister said that with the construction of Chhindnar bridge, development has taken a new turn in the villages and villages across the river Indravati. Now the benefits of government employees and government schemes have started reaching easily in the villages of inaccessible forest. Due to lack of bridge, the problems faced by the common people are over. In the villages across the Indravati river, people are now getting the facilities of 108 Sanjeevani Express and 102 Mahtari Express, 112 as per the need of the hour. This bridge has become a new gateway of development in the true sense. Through this, now works like Anganwadi, school building construction, electrification in villages have started happening rapidly. The Chief Minister said that development and change has started from Dantewada-Chhindnar area to Abujhmad.
The Chief Minister said that 100 percent electrification work has been done in Tumrigunda village by installing 18 transformers in 18 places at a cost of more than 2 crores. Works costing Rs.3.91 crore have also been approved for electrification in the other side of the river. Will also start the work of Jaljeevan Mission to provide pure drinking water to the villagers through taps. The Chief Minister said that the construction of this bridge was not an easy task. For this, the soldiers of the security forces gave their support day and night by betting on their lives. The Chief Minister congratulated and extended best wishes to all the soldiers engaged in security during the construction of Chhindnar Bridge.
The Chief Minister said that new avenues of employment have been opened through the purchase of millets including Kodo, Kutki, Ragi, Maize and value addition of forest produce to provide employment to the people in the forest areas. In Dantewada district, new methods were adopted for the construction of Amchur, due to which the income of the people has increased. Today the Denex here is doing the work of dressing the whole of India. Our tribal sisters are expertly preparing garments. There are 700 daughters working in Denex, who are earning 8 to 10 thousand per month. He said that at present 400 daughters are also being given training in garment manufacturing.
The Chief Minister said that along with loan waiver of the farmers, our government has done the work of giving fair price for their produce through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. The number of minor forest produce has also been increased from 7 to 52. Along with this, the work of their value addition is also being done. These actions have increased the confidence of the public in the government. More than 300 forest rights have been given across the river. A years-old dream has been fulfilled with the convenience of reaching and commuting to many villages including Cherpal, Tumrigunda, Pahurnar, Kaurgaon villages across the river Indravati. Now in these villages also, like Bijapur, Sukma, phad will be made for collection of tendu leaves, due to which the people here will also get an income of Rs.4000 per standard bag.
