Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed all district collectors, superintendents of police and urban bodies to remain alert in view of the cyclonic rains. He has asked to ensure all disaster management related measures to deal with any situation like water logging and floods in the affected areas. Due to intensification of cyclonic cyclone over inner Odisha, there is a strong possibility of heavy rain at some places and very heavy rainfall at one or two places in the districts of remaining divisions except Surguja division in the state.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to all the District Collectors to ensure all arrangements for relief and rescue measures in the potentially affected areas in view of the incessant rains in the state. He said that full vigilance should be taken to deal with any adverse situation in the event of water logging and floods. All preparations should also be kept for the rescue and relief of the people.
     The Chief Minister has given instructions to keep the disaster management team ready in low-lying and potentially affected areas. The Chief Minister has said that necessary assistance should be provided to the affected immediately if required. The Chief Minister has said that the water level of river drains should be continuously monitored. This information should be given regularly in the control room. Wherever water logging and flood situation may arise, all necessary arrangements should be ensured in advance.

    The Chief Minister has asked the District Collectors to ensure arrangements for temporary relief camps in the nearby buildings in the flood affected areas. The Chief Minister has also asked the officials of the District Police Force, Home Guard, Revenue Department, Health Department, Public Health Engineering, Electricity Department, Public Works, Food Department, urban bodies etc. of the affected districts, including the State Disaster Response Force, to be alert and alert.
