Announcement of several development works including construction of new rest buildings in Bastanar, Darbha and Chitrakote
Raipur, 25 January 2021. Today was a historic day for Bastar. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, during his stay in Bastar district, handed over 51 development and construction works costing about Rs 156 crore 46 lakh in Bastanar. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel inaugurated 10 development works costing about Rs 44 crore 52 lakh and performed bhumi pujan of 41 development works costing around Rs 111 crore 93 lakh at the general meeting held at Badikepal on 25 January. In the program, excellent officers and employees, including volunteers from Yuvodaya and representatives of social organizations were honored. Checks of material and grant-in-aid were distributed to the beneficiaries under various public welfare schemes of the government. On this occasion a souvenir “Parivartan with Yuva” based on various activities of the volunteers of Yuvodaya was released in the district. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has sanctioned one crore rupees for providing various facilities to promote tourism in Tamra Ghumar, Mendri Ghumar. Along with this, apart from the establishment of small forest produce based industries to provide fair price of forest produce to forest produce collectors, rest building in Bastanar, Darbha and Chitrakot, new indoor stadium construction in Usaribeda, fifty-fifty seater pre-matric boys and girls in village Gadhiya. Announced the construction of hostel building, construction of Matkot to Arapur Pachchh road, construction of asphaltized road from Vahanpur to Kotagali, construction of asphaltized road from Patelpara Samvagel to Kolleng, construction of new high school at Harracoder and boundary wall construction at Government College Tokapal
Chief Minister Shri Baghel greeted the people for New Year and National Voters’ Day first and while congratulating Republic Day in advance, said that today’s day reminds every citizen of his power and his participation in nation building. Today’s importance is very much among the people of Bastar. He said that the people of Bastar still have to become more aware of their democratic rights. In the last two years, we have worked relentlessly, everyone gets their rights, everyone gets justice, that is our priority. He said that without it peace and development in Bastar cannot be imagined. In the forest area, we gave a Forest Rights letter. We are the leader in the entire country in giving maximum forest rights papers. We have also given Community Forest Resource Paper including Personal and Community Forest Rights Letter. Due to which the forest dwellers have got the right over forests, the ownership of forest produce and the development of forest areas,
The Chief Minister said that if there is any biggest way to increase the income of the forest dwellers, then it is forest produce. Earlier 7 forest produce was purchased on support price. Now our government is purchasing 52 forest produce at the support price and keeping the promise, has increased the prices of the forest produce. Rs. 4 thousand per standard sack remuneration is being given to 13 lakh tendu patta collectors of the entire state. Martyr Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collectors Social Security Insurance Scheme is being provided to Tendupatta collectors by launching the Tendupatta Collectors Insurance Scheme, which has been discontinued by the Central Government. At the time of lockdown we did not stop the OnePage collection. We kept it operational in the entire state including Bastar. As a result, Chhattisgarh stood first in the entire country by purchasing 73 percent forest produce.
The Chief Minister said that earlier 15 lakh farmers used to sell paddy in the state, which has increased to more than 21.5 million this year. Paddy acreage has also increased and farmers have registered 28 lakh hectare this year. A record 86 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased so far. Our government has also decided to buy Kodo-Kutki at a support price. The fourth installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana will also be provided to the farmers before 31 March.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister was accompanied by MP Shri Deepak Badge, Chairman of Bastar Development Authority, Mr. Lakeshwar Baghel, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Rekhachand Jain, Chairman of Handicrafts Development Board Mr. Chandan Kashyap, Chairman of Renewable Energy Development Corporation Mr. Mithlesh Swarnakar, President of Fishermen Welfare Board Mr. MR Nishad, Vice President of Bastar Development Authority, Mr. Vikram Mandavi, MLA Dantewada, Mrs. Deoti Karma, Vice President State Antyapasheya Finance Development Corporation Mrs. Neeta Lodhi and the public representatives of the area and panchayat officials and villagers were present.
