Raipur, 28 July 2022Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today flagged off the Chief Minister Mahtari Nyay Rath from his residence complex on the occasion of Hareli and conveyed his best wishes. The program started with the Raj Geet of Chhattisgarh. The journey began with the motto “Baat oh abhimaan ke female mind ke samman ke”. On the initiative of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Women, this Nyay Rath Yatra has been started with the aim of making the women of the state aware about their constitutional rights and laws and to increase their confidence.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel also administered the oath of protection, justice and empowerment of women. Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia, Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Food Minister Mr. Amarjit Bhagat, Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Chhattisgarh State Women’s Commission President Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak, Cow Service Commission Chairman Mahant Mr. Ram Sundar. Das, MLA Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma, Chairman of State Food Supply Corporation Mr. Ram Gopal Agrawal were present in large numbers.          In the first phase, the chariot will go to nine districts of the state: will start from Durg district                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Chief Minister Mahtari Nyay Rath Yatra will be conducted through the State Commission for Women. This Rath will travel from village to village in all the districts to make people aware about the legal provisions of women and their constitutional rights through short films, messages and brochures. In the first phase, the chariot will go to nine districts of the state. It will start from Durg district. Women will also be given free legal aid under this campaign. There will also be 2 advocates in each Mahatari Nyay Rath. Who will listen to the problems of women and give them information and advice. Women will also be able to apply through Nyaya Rath. The applications received will be disposed of by the Women’s Commission. Nationally award-winning short films on various laws in Chhattisgarhi and Hindi languages ​​will be screened in large LED screens in the Rath. Mahtari Nyay Rath will be operated with DMF amount. For this, the state government has made special changes in the DMF policy.
State Women’s Commission Chairperson Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak said that it is very important for all the women, educated, uneducated, housewives, working women to know the functions of the Women’s Commission and the laws, rules and their rights made for women. For this, Chief Minister Mahtari Nyay Rath has been started from Hareli Tihar. Through the Mahatari Nyay Rath, it will be told that how women can apply to the Commission for Women to solve their problems and get free and speedy justice. Even before this, the Women’s Commission has issued WhatsApp number 9098382225, through which women are registering their complaints with the Commission.
Smt. Nayak has said that to empower the mothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh socially, economically and politically, in the last three and a half years, the state government has implemented many schemes at different levels. The success of these schemes of ours has become an example in the whole country. Now moving a step further, a new scheme is being started. This scheme will be the first of its kind in the country. This will make women aware and increase their confidence. Knowledge of women’s legal rights will reduce crimes against women in the state.
