Raipur, 18 April 2022. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took a review meeting of Urban Administration and Development Department and Environment and Housing Department at his residence office here today. During the review of Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store scheme in the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed strong displeasure over prescribing branded medicines instead of generic medicines in government hospitals. He said that strict action should be taken against the government doctors who prescribe branded medicines. Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Principal Secretary Health has immediately issued instructions to all the Collectors and CMHOs saying that it should be ensured that doctors prescribe only generic medicines. The Chief Minister had received information that despite repeated instructions, doctors were prescribing branded medicines instead of generic ones. It is noteworthy that people should get cheap medicines, For this, the Government of Chhattisgarh has started Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store. It was informed in the meeting that 159 medical stores are operating in the state under this scheme. About 17 lakh 92 thousand citizens have been saved Rs.17 crore 38 lakh due to the medicines sold through these medical stores so far. It was informed in the meeting that online building permit system has been implemented for construction on residential plots up to 500 square meters in 9 municipal corporations of the state, through which 3771 building permits have been issued so far. In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that the right to pass the layout would now be handed over to the Municipal Corporation. Till now the layout was passed by the Town and Country Planning Department. Citizens will not have to make rounds of two offices for any work. The Chief Minister also directed to free-hold the properties of urban bodies. Till now the property of urban bodies is given on lease. Lakhs of citizens will be benefited by this decision.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister gave many important instructions from the point of view of convenience of common citizens and smooth conduct of administrative work. According to the decision taken by the Chief Minister in the meeting, now the Chief Municipal Officer of the urban body will be declared a gazetted officer. In the meeting, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria had demanded from the Chief Minister to declare the Chief Municipal Officer as a gazetted officer, on which the Chief Minister has given his consent.
In the meeting, the CEO of Raipur Development Authority informed that 2544 houses of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have been completed by Raipur Development Authority. The construction of 2416 EWS and LIG plates has been completed in Indraprastha Yojna Phase-II. 128 EWS plates have been manufactured in Kamal Vihar Yojna Sector-4. The construction of the approach road for the above plates will be completed by April 30, 2022.
The Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Housing Board informed that online registration, payment and allotment process has been started by the Board by simplifying the procedures. The amount of installment of buildings, maintenance fee, water tax etc. is being received through POS machine instead of MR book. Presently, properties are being sold through online website/app in 44 projects of the Board. A total of 796 properties worth Rs 227.40 crore have been sold through online mode.
