Raipur, 18 June 2021. On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Pandit Madhavrao Sapre, on June 19, at 6 pm, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will participate in a two-day online international webinar organized on the theme “Hindi Ka Democracy” and will virtual inaugurate the year-long birth anniversary celebrations. The function is being organized by Chhattisgarh Mitra Patrika with the help of Culture Department. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Baghel, senior Hindi litterateur and President of Indian Language Council, Dr. Kusum Khemani will be honored by Pandit Madhavrao Sapre Chhattisgarh Mitra Literary Journalism Award for the year 2021. Dr. Kusum Khemani is being honored for his incomparable service to Hindi and literary contribution through the continuous publication of Vagarth Patrika, Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad.
In the function, Chief Minister Shri Baghel will also release a special issue of Chhattisgarh Mitra and a book focused on Pandit Madhavrao Sapre. On this occasion, the senior editor of the country, Mr. Shravan Garg will give a keynote statement on the topic of democracy in Hindi journalism. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Keshari Lal Verma will preside over the first session of the webinar. In this session, Dr. Sushil Trivedi, Dr. Anand Vardhan Sharma from Bulgaria, Dr. Sharad Alok from Norway and Mr. Shravan Garg from Bhopal will express their views. Many scholars have been invited to lecture on topics like Hindi renaissance, modernity of Hindi etc. in the session held on 20th June from 11.30 am.
