Raipur: Chief Minister Baghel will attend the mega farmers’ conference on March 12

Raipur, 11 March 2022. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will participate in a mega-farmer’s convention tomorrow, Saturday, March 12 at 3 pm, at the four-day FarmTech Asia International Farmers’ Fair and Agricultural Exhibition at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University campus. Shri Baghel will address the farmers on this occasion and inform them about the schemes, programs and activities being run by the state government for the betterment of the farmers. About 5 thousand farmers from different districts of Chhattisgarh will participate in this Kisan Sammelan. This exhibition is being organized in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture, Government of Chhattisgarh and Indira Gandhi Agricultural University.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria and Dharsiwa MLA Smt. Anita Yogendra Sharma, State Farmers Welfare Council President Shri Surendra Sharma will also attend the farmers’ conference. On this occasion, Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary Agriculture Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr. Girish Chandel, Director Agriculture Mr. Yashwant Kumar, Director Horticulture Mr. Matheswaran V. And the members of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Management Board will also be present.
    In the Farmtech Asia Kisan Fair and Exhibition organized in Indira Gandhi Agricultural University campus from March 11 to 14, 132 institutions of government, public and private sector are displaying and selling the latest agricultural techniques and products for farmers. The latest agricultural technology, research techniques and products developed by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University are also being displayed in this exhibition. Along with this, ambitious schemes like Gaudhan Vikas Yojna, Narva, Garua, Ghurva, Bari, run by the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments of the state government for farmers, are also being displayed.
Under the exhibition, technical lectures will be given every day by agricultural scientists of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University to farmers on various topics related to agriculture in Kisan Pathshala. Organized in an area of ​​about 15 thousand square meters, this agricultural exhibition will include the latest agricultural implements and equipment, advanced irrigation systems, advanced seeds and pesticides, solar pumps, horticultural equipment, animal husbandry and dairy related equipment and equipment, organic fertilizers and chemicals, organic and protected farming. Along with equipment, technology, machinery and products related to various fields of agriculture are being displayed. During the exhibition, farmers will get an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest technology of agriculture, as well as to buy various products and sell the materials produced by them.
