Raipur: Chief Minister Baghel inaugurated newly constructed dedicated Covid Hospital and Covid Lab in Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi district

Raipur 22 May 2021.  Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the newly constructed dedicated Covid Hospital and Kovid Lab in Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi district through video conferencing from his residence office today. The Chief Minister congratulated everyone for the new health facility in the district. He also announced the establishment of oxygen plant in the district on the occasion. Health Minister Shri T.S. Singhdev did it. On this occasion, Revenue Minister and District In-Charge Minister Shri Jaysingh Agarwal, Lok Sabha MP Smt. Jyotsna Mahant, Marwahi MLA Dr. K. K. Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar was present through Dhruv video conferencing and from the Chief Minister’s residence.
    The Chief Minister said that the second wave of Corona is now decreasing in the entire Chhattisgarh as well as in the Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi district. New patients are also coming less. It is a matter of relief for all of us, but it does not mean that we should be relaxed. When the corona was reduced for a few months after the first wave, we became a little inattentive. Today we are paying the same inadvertence. 
    The Chief Minister said that experts say that the third wave of Corona may also come, which may pose more challenge than the second wave, but if we are all careful, then we will not allow this third wave to come. Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi is a new district of Chhattisgarh, there are different challenges here, but in spite of this we all have jointly fought Corona with success. The government has rapidly mobilized resources at Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi. We have tested more and more people to ensure their treatment. 

    Mr. Baghel said that we can compete with Corona with full force, in this connection, 66 bed dedicated Kovid Hospital has been established at the district headquarters at a cost of Rs. 30 lakhs. This new hospital will have all the necessary facilities including ventilators. A ventilator, 4 bippe machines, central oxygen pipeline have been installed for the hospital. 150 oxygen cylinders have been provided in the dedicated hospital. The hospital will have 44 general oxygen beds, 6 HDU beds and 6 ICU beds. Together these will be a 66-bed hospital. 6 beds have been reserved for the treatment of pregnant, post and pre-pregnant covid patients. This hospital will be operated round the clock. A team of 7 doctors and 6 nurses have been deployed here. The Chief Minister asked people to apply masks to prevent corona infection, 
    Health Minister Shri T.S. Singhdev said that with the commencement of this hospital, treatment of serious Kovid patients will now be done here. Serious patients will not have to be referred to another district. This new hospital will strengthen the fight being fought against the second wave of Corona. Revenue Minister and Minister in charge of Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi district, Shri Jaisingh Agrawal, congratulated the Chief Minister and the Districts for providing health facilities in the new district. Member of Parliament Smt. Jyotsna Mahanta thanked the Chief Minister for starting the Kovid Hospital for the treatment of people affected by Korana infection in the anomalous situation of Corona period. Marwahi MLA Dr. K.K. Dhruva also congratulated the Chief Minister and the villagers for the health facility in the new district.
    On the inauguration occasion, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu, Principal Secretary of Forest Department Mr. Manoj Pingua, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Mr. Rakesh Chaturvedi, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Arun Kumar Pandey were also present.
