In the programme, the Chief Minister transferred an amount of Rs 21.31 crore online to the accounts of the beneficiaries of the Godhan Yojana. In this amount, from May 16 to May 31, in lieu of cow dung purchased in Gauthans, Rs. 4.91 crore was given to rural cattle herders and Rs. 8.98 crore to Gauthan committees and Rs. 6.29 crore to self-help groups. 1.13 crore involving an amount of Rs.

It is worth mentioning that including the amount distributed today to cow dung vendors, Gothan committees and women self-help groups, Rs 538 crore 89 lakh has been paid to the beneficiaries so far. Out of this, Rs 237.28 crore has been paid to cow dung vendors and Rs 223.60 crore has been paid to self-help groups and Gothan committees since the inception of the scheme. In the programme, the Chief Minister released an amount of Rs 1.13 crore for the honorarium of total 21 thousand 360 members of the committee, including the presidents and members of the self-supporting Gothan committee. An honorarium of Rs 750 and Rs 500 is being given to the non-official members of the Swavalambi Gauthan Samiti.

The Chief Minister said in the program that approval has been given for the construction of 10 thousand 409 Gothans in the state, out of which 98 percent, 10 thousand 235 Gothans have been completed. There are 4 thousand 584 Gothans who have bought 30 quintals or more of cow dung in the last 15 days. As compared to the previous fortnight, there has been an increase of 22 per cent in the number of Gothans buying such a large quantity of cow dung. Similarly, there has been an increase of 46 percent in cow dung procurement during the same period this year as compared to last year from 16 to 31 May 2022. 05 thousand 911 Gothans of the state have become self-supporting. So far, a total of Rs 53 crore 80 lakh has been paid by these Gauthans in lieu of cow dung purchase. Today, out of the amount of Rs 04 crore 91 lakh released in lieu of cow dung purchase, Rs 03 crore 05 lakh has been paid by self-supporting Gothans and Rs 01 crore 86 lakh by the department. 

    The Chief Minister said that 01 lakh 89 thousand 614 members of 15 thousand 905 self-help groups have earned an income of Rs 144 crore 22 lakh so far from various livelihood-oriented activities going on in Gauthans. Congratulating all the people associated with the scheme for the success of this scheme, Mr. Baghel said that today is World Environment Day. One of the objectives of our Godhan Nyaya Yojana is also to protect and promote the environment. The state government is continuously working to improve its environment through schemes like Suraji Gaon Yojana, Chief Minister Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme, Vriksha Sampada Yojana, Krishna Kunj Yojana, river bank plantation, fruit tree plantation.
