Chief Information Commissioner Raut informed that in the Annual Report -2019 of Chhattisgarh State Information Commission, the information received from all the districts of the state under the Right to Information Act 2005 and informed about their disposal. At the time of hearing in the appeal cases by the Commission, the Public Information Officer and the appellant are called with the records on the due date by giving notice to the Public Information Officer and both the parties are given ample opportunity to present their arguments. He informed that the Chhattisgarh State Information Commission has heard the second appeal and complaints in a timely manner.
Chief Information Commissioner Mr. Raut informed that keeping in view Kovid-19, the presence of the appellant, complainant and Public Information Officer / First Appellate Officer in the Chhattisgarh State Information Commission for hearing of cases of second appeal and complaint has been banned. . Appellant and Public Information Officer / First Appellate Officer were directed to send arguments / replies in writing to the Commission by e-mail, whatsapp and fax.
Chief Information Commissioner M.K. Raut said that keeping in view the increasing infection of Corona under Kovid-19, the second appeal and complaint of complaint under the Right to Information Act 2005 in Chhattisgarh State Information Commission is being heard through video conferencing.
Chief Information Commissioner M.K. Raut said that even after Kovid-19, a total of 2995 cases have been resolved in the Commission from March 2020 to November 2020, including 2255 appeals and 740 complaints.
The Commission received a total of 4001 Second Appeals from January 2019 to December 2019. Out of a total of 10,587 second appeals including 6,586 second appeals in the previous years, a total of 3,944 second appeal cases were disposed of. In these aborted second appeal cases, an amount of penalty of Rs. 10,04,000 (Total Rupees Ten Lakh Four Thousand Only) was imposed and for compensation of Rs. 2,59,650 only (Rs. The Commission received a total of 998 complaints from January 2019 to December 2019, out of a total of 3,549 complaints, including 2,551 complaints, in the last rainfall, a total of 1,346 complaints were resolved. A total amount of Rs 8,20,500 (total Rs 8 lakh twenty thousand five hundred only) was imposed in the redressal complaints cases and compensation of Rs 64,850 (Rs four hundred thousand eight hundred and fifty only) to be paid to the applicants.
