Addressing a program organized on the occasion of completion of 1 year of the launch of Godhan Nyay Yojana in the state today, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has said that Chhattisgarh will be established as an organic state in the coming years. He said that Godhan Nyay Yojana has provided a new source of income to the cow rearers, farmers as well as landless people selling cow dung, but through this scheme, about 80 thousand women of women self-help groups are also moving ahead on the path of self-reliance. have been Godhan Nyay Yojana was started in the state from July 20 last year on the occasion of Hareli festival. On the completion of one year of the scheme, the Chief Minister congratulated and extended best wishes to the cattle rearers and the people of the state.
In the period of one year from the launch of Godhan Nyay Yojana, 48.77 lakh quintals of dung were purchased from the dung collectors and a total amount of Rs.97 crore 55 lakh was paid to the dung collectors. Similarly, till now a total of Rs 35 crore 41 lakh has been paid as dividend to self-help groups and Gauthan committees. More than one lakh 71 thousand cattle farmers are getting benefited from Godhan Nyay Yojana. More than 76 thousand landless people are among the beneficiaries. Under Godhan Nyay Yojana and Suraji Gaon Yojana, 8 thousand 874 women self-help groups have been provided with economic activities like community garden, mushroom production, vegetable production, poultry, animal husbandry, fish farming, dung lamps and pots manufacturing, cow wood production in Gauthans. 31 crore 41 lakh has earned an income. Out of 10 thousand 82 approved Gauthans in the state, 5883 Gauthans are active. Out of these, 1160 Gauthans have become self-supporting.
In the program today, the Chief Minister transferred a total amount of Rs 31 crore 20 lakh to Gauthan Management Committee and self-supporting Gauthans in the form of cow dung collection, dividend to self-help groups, Gauthan committees and incentive amount under Godhan Nyay Yojana. Out of this amount, Rs 43 lakh in the account of cow dung collectors, Rs 2 crore 66 lakh as dividend to women self-help groups, Rs 3 crore 69 lakh to Gauthan committees, Rs 23 crore 28 lakh to Gauthan Management Committees as incentive. An amount of one crore 14 lakh rupees was transferred online to self-supporting Gauthans.
The Chief Minister said that Godhan Nyay Yojana is a scheme giving multi-dimensional benefits. The use of vermi compost being prepared through the scheme will not only increase the fertility of the land but we will also get organic grains and organic agricultural products. Today the prices of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and the prices of diesel are increasing continuously. There is also not enough supply according to the demand of chemical fertilizers, so the use of medicines made from vermicompost and cow urine will reduce the cost of agriculture. The Chief Minister said that about 9 lakh quintals of vermi compost and super compost have been produced by women self-help groups from the cow dung procured through Godhan Nyay Yojana and 70 percent of this quantity is also distributed through cooperatives. has been carried out.
The Chief Minister further said that the inclination of farmers towards agriculture has increased in the state. Dairy is also benefiting from Godhan Nyay Yojana. Gothans were constructed in the last one year. Arrangement for production of vermi compost in Gauthans, arrangements for kotna for animals, cordon in Gauthans were made. In order to develop Gauthans as Rural Industrial Parks, various economic activities were started there through women self-help groups. A system has been prepared for online distribution of dung purchase amount, dividend amount. Arrangements were also made for distribution of vermi compost and super compost through cooperatives. A commendable effort has been made to develop these systems with the cooperation of public representatives and departmental officers in a period of one year, but more work has to be done In which the work of arranging green fodder for cattle is most important. He said that there is a shortage of green fodder for about 8 months after November-December, to solve this problem, instructions have been given to produce grass in the forests including the production of Napier grass in all the Gauthans. Green fodder is to be arranged for the animals by making hay silage thus produced.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey while addressing the program said that Godhan Nyay Yojana is an important scheme for the poor. This scheme will also prove to be important in the development of the state. He said that Godhan Nyay Yojana is being discussed all over the country. Appreciating this scheme, three parliamentary committees have recommended the implementation of this scheme in the whole country. More than 3 thousand Gauthans of the state have taken the model form. He said that recently a study team of 12 IAS officers from Rajasthan had come to Chhattisgarh to see and understand the Godhan Nyay scheme of the state. He appreciated the scheme and arrangement of Gauthans and called it exemplary.
Minister Shri Choubey also congratulated and congratulated the cattle farmers and the people of the state on the completion of one year of the scheme. During the program, Special Secretary, Agriculture Department and Nodal Officer of Godhan Nyay Yojana, Dr. S. Bharathidasan made a presentation on the plan. He informed that Rs. 23.48 crore has been given to the Gauthan Management Committees at the rate of Rs.
