To make the district an export center in the state of Chhattisgarh, a one-day workshop was organized today in a private hotel under the joint auspices of the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and District Administration Raipur. Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat, Shri Abinash It was done under the chairmanship of Kumar Mishra and Dr.V.Shraman, Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Nagpur. 49 districts are included under DGFT Nagpur. In these, workshops were organized to convert 12 districts of Maharashtra, 04 of Madhya Pradesh and 33 of Chhattisgarh into export centres.

    While addressing the workshop, CEO of District Panchayat Raipur, Mr. Abinash Mishra said that the state of Chhattisgarh is known as the rice bowl. A large number of farmers grow paddy here. Chhattisgarh state is moving towards economic progress very fast. In Raipur too, trade has increased at present as compared to before and Raipur is moving forward by emerging as a big market. Along with rice, steel, aluminium, iron as well as forest resources are found in abundance in the state, now it is being demanded from foreign countries also. He said that along with taking Chhattisgarh state forward industrially, small and medium industries have to be promoted. So that people can get better employment at the local level. The aim of the workshop is to promote other products of the state by exporting them to foreign countries.

    Shri V. Shraman said in his address that to promote exports, currently 49 districts under Nagpur have been made export centres. The first workshop was organized in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. All the information in the workshop will be updated online and there are easy ways to register sitting at home. Along with this, information about port ecosport, custom duty, banking work, post office export, export through container, e-commerce custom duty, bill entry, siping bill, international trade, etc. is given. Where the experts provided information about e-commerce exports online from home, banking facilities etc. were given by the DGFT team.
