Raipur: Chhattisgarh ran for self-respect and pride

Raipur, 14 December 2021. There was unprecedented enthusiasm among the people regarding the Run for CG Pride organized in the capital Raipur this morning. More than 20 thousand runners of every age group participated in this race organized for the self-respect and pride of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the Run for CG Pride by flagging off from Gandhi Udyan Chowk at 7 am. On this occasion, the entire area of ​​Gandhi Udyan was packed with people. From school children who came to participate in the race, a group of young runners came from all over the state, during this Bharat Mata ki Jai, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was raising slogans of Zindabad along with proclamation of Chhattisgarhiya Sable Badhiya. As soon as Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached the stage for the launch of Run for CG Pride, the people present there started shouting slogans of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel Zindabad. Responding to this, the Chief Minister said, ‘Kaka is alive now’, enthusing the youth. On this reply of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the crowd welcomed him with applause.

 

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, while addressing the gathering on the occasion, said that we are moving fast in the direction of fulfilling the new Chhattisgarh that we had resolved to build. Within three years, the state of Chhattisgarh has established its unique identity in the country and the world. Chhattisgarh model is discussed in the whole country today. We have left the Gujarat model far behind the Chhattisgarh model of development. The Chhattisgarh model is a model to bring equality and economic equality. Work is being done for the betterment of the poor, farmers, tribals, women, youth and people of all sections and communities of the society. It includes people of all societies and classes. Even during the Corona crisis, the development work in Chhattisgarh continued relentlessly.

 

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh has established its own identity in the whole country in terms of cleanliness. The state of Chhattisgarh is getting the award for the cleanest state in the country for the last three years. This year Chhattisgarh has won 67 awards in the field of cleanliness. Along with this, the schemes of the state are being appreciated at the national level. On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated and extended best wishes to all the people who came to participate in the race. Specially mentioning the disabled mountaineer of Chhattisgarh, Shri Chitrasen Sahu, he said that because of his indomitable courage, determination, he has conquered the high peaks of three continents of the world. Giving advance best wishes for Chitrasen Sahu’s fourth mountaineering expedition Mount Aconcagua, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that together we will give him financial assistance of Rs.12 lakh 60 thousand for this.

 

While encouraging the runners, the Chief Minister himself also participated in this race. Organized by the Department of Public Relations and the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, this 5 kilometer race was held in three sections. Boys and girls below 14 years of age participated in the first category, men and women between the age of 14 to 60 years in the second category and runners above 60 years of age in the third category. The runners who get first, second and third place in the boys and girls category in the first category will be rewarded and honored. Similarly, male and female runners from first place to tenth place in second class and senior runners who get first to third place in third category will be rewarded and honored.

There was a lot of enthusiasm among the participants during the Run for CG Pride. Selfie zones were created at various places on the route fixed for the race, where people were seen taking selfies. A large number of citizens standing on the side of the designated route were seen encouraging the runners by clapping.]
