Raipur, 01 November 2020. On the occasion of Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day, in the virtual presence of Lok Sabha MP Mr. Rahul Gandhi, today the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana was transferred to 1500 crore rupees in the account of 19 lakh farmers of the state. Under the special presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Charan Das Mahant and Ministers at the Rajyotsava program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence office, Mobile Hospital-cum in 30 urban slum areas of the state under Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme and Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme Laboratory was also launched. Leader of Opposition in the function Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, MP Shri P.L. Punia and MLA Mr. Mohan Markam, along with other MLAs, public representatives and others from districts joined through video conferencing.

 

MP Shri Rahul Gandhi while wishing the people of Chhattisgarh for the celebration of the festival, said that farmers and laborers are the foundation of the country. The country will be weak due to their weakness. MP Shri Rahul Gandhi said that the country is going through a difficult phase due to Kovid-19 at the present time. At such times those who are weak have more difficulty. He said that the condition of farmers in the country is not hidden from anyone. There have been continuous reports of farmer suicides. We must protect the farmers and laborers, stand with them. He said that the foundation of the city is village and the foundation of the village is farmers and laborers. If farmers and laborers will be weak, So the whole country will become weak. Protecting farmers and laborers means protecting the country as well as strengthening the foundation of the country and improving the future. He said that children and youth are the foundation of the future of the country. If the youth do not get better opportunities and future, then this country will be weak.

 

MP Shri Rahul Gandhi while praising the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana and Swami Atmanand English Medium School and Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme launched by the Chhattisgarh Government for the betterment of farmers, laborers and the poor, said that these three schemes of the Chhattisgarh Government will make the foundation Strengthening and protecting it. This will strengthen the entire country. Shri Rahul Gandhi further said that Chhattisgarh has shown the way to the entire country. Whether it is a matter of helping farmers and protecting land, promoting industry and making rural and youth self-reliant. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the cabinet and team of colleagues are working with full vision. He said that Chhattisgarh is becoming a new model state in the country. Farmers, The work of protecting the interests of tribals and forging the future of youth by arranging better education is being done in the state of Chhattisgarh. He said that the Government of Chhattisgarh has made English medium education available to children and youth of economically weaker families by starting English Medium School in the state.

 

His interests are being ignored. Referring to the three new agricultural laws passed in the field of agriculture by the central government, he said that agricultural produce is an important role of mandis and minimum support price. This protects the interests of farmers. He said that any system can have drawbacks. This does not mean that it should be destroyed. The system should be improved. He said that since the abolition of mandis in Bihar in 2006, the condition of farmers has continuously weakened. We are fighting a fight against these three agricultural laws of the central government. There has been opposition in Punjab and Chhattisgarh. He said that we have urged the Prime Minister to reconsider these three agricultural laws and strengthen the mandi system. I am confident that the Prime Minister will definitely reconsider it.

 

MPĀ  Rahul Gandhi said that Chhattisgarh is a unique state. There is plenty of water, forest, land and natural wealth here. Chhattisgarh is not poor, the public is poor. I am happy that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, our Government is working with full commitment to remove these anomalies. He said that the amount of Chhattisgarh should be spent for the betterment of the people here and to take Chhattisgarh forward with a new vision. He said that the government and its entire team are working together towards this goal.
While addressing the program, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel congratulated and congratulated all the people of Chhattisgarh State on the 21st Foundation Day. Mr. Baghel said that we are happy that by removing backwardness and unbalanced development, we have succeeded in working in accordance with the thinking of the makers of Chhattisgarh state to develop in the spirit of common people of Chhattisgarh. We have implemented such schemes in the last 22 months, whose core is the upliftment of the poor, farmers, deprived, scheduled castes and backward people of Chhattisgarh. Successful results of these schemes are now clearly visible in all areas. Our success in employment availability, agricultural production, increase in ground water level, sanitation, commercial and industrial sectors, GST figures, power generation etc. are underlined at the national level. Mr. Baghel said that in the last one year, 67 thousand malnourished children have come out of the cycle of malnutrition due to the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Scheme. The number of malnourished children in the state has declined by 13.79 percent. He said that the vision that Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi had given, we are being able to give that vision on the ground. The way we have given Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s vision of justice in agriculture through the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. This has revolutionized the entire agriculture sector of Chhattisgarh as well as the rural economy. Our economy has strengthened. He said that the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana is a unique example of how a scheme launched with the right thinking and intention can bring positive changes in the lives of people.
Referring to the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, Mr. Baghel said that we have so far paid Rs 39 crores by purchasing cow dung from cow dung collectors. This has provided an additional source of employment and income to villagers in Chhattisgarh villages. He said that the Godhan Nyaya Yojana has been created to raise the standard of living of poor cowherds, to provide them new means of employment and income. I feel proud today to say that we have succeeded in our mission. I would also like to say that if your intentions are clear and you really have a desire to uplift the poor, then such a unique plan is made and also successful.
Mr. Baghel said that with the anti-farmer law of the Central Government, we have taken concrete measures to stop the injustice done to the farmers of our state. The Mandi Act has been amended, now the farmers of our state will not suffer any harm. We have also taken important steps towards the state’s infrastructure and industrial development. We have established 25 MoUs for setting up industries. And 22 new MoUs. Are proposed This will lead to a capital investment of about 20 thousand crores in the state and about 36 thousand people will get employment. After our untiring efforts, the Central Government has approved the plan to convert Chhattisgarh from paddy to ethanol. This will add additional income to our farmers. There is a possibility of investment of about 10 thousand crores in the state due to the ethanol making industry.
The Chief Minister said that the work of strengthening the infrastructure in the state is also going on at a rapid pace. Under the Dharsa Development Scheme, fast work is being done to strengthen the raw roads of the village. This will facilitate smooth movement of villagers and cattle in all seasons including rain. He said that at the cost of a total of Rs 13 thousand 230 crore in the state, we are working fast on the ambitious plan to construct roads and bridges. To provide employment opportunities to the youth, we have started registration in e-category. Chhattisgarh tops the country in generation of high quality power. We are in 132/33 KV in Bijapur district of Bastar, tribal dominated today. Substation and 87.5 km 132 K.V. Barsur is also inaugurating the Bijapur line.
Mr. Baghel said that today, in his virtual presence, MP Mr. Rahul Gandhi is transferring an amount of 1500 crore rupees to more than 19 lakh farmers in his account under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Earlier, on 21 May and 20 August, we had given two installments of Rs 1500-1500 crore to the farmers. Under Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme, we are starting 52 English medium schools. Education will be free here. So far, 27 thousand 741 children have taken admission in these schools. Mr. Baghel said that he is also launching an important health plan for the citizens living in slums. By this, citizens and workers living in slum areas will provide medical facilities in the morning and evening to keep them healthy.
