Raipur: Chhattisgarh moving towards total eradication of Naxalism: Our state will be Naxalism free by March 2026 – Chief Minister

The Chief Minister congratulated the security forces on the historic success in the fight against Naxalites

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai termed the major success of security forces against Naxalites in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh as a big step towards the goal of Naxal-free Chhattisgarh and said that Bastar is now moving from Guntantra to Republic. Chief Minister Shri Sai described the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah as the foundation of this success. He said that under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, our state will be Naxal-free by March 2026. Due to the far-sighted policy and effective strategy of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the security forces are getting continuous success and we are moving rapidly towards the goal.

The Chief Minister termed the killing of 31 Naxalites in an encounter by security forces in Bijapur district today as a major success and saluted the bravery of the brave soldiers. He said that the way the security forces carried out this operation by entering the stronghold of the Naxalites shows their extraordinary bravery and strategic efficiency. He expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of two brave soldiers and injuries to two other soldiers in this encounter.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is now at a decisive turn. The countdown of Naxalism has started, and now only an environment of development, peace and security will be established in the state. We will completely free Chhattisgarh from Naxalism by 31 March 2026. This is not just a declaration, but a firm commitment of the government and a promise made to every citizen of the state. He said that with the success of the security forces against the Naxalites and the implementation of the public welfare schemes of the government, the knock of a safe and prosperous future is now being heard in Bastar.
