An amount of Rs 2 crore 56 lakh was returned to 3 thousand 274 investors of Durg district who invested in chit fund companies.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel returned an amount of Rs. 2 crore 56 lakh to 3 thousand 274 investors of Durg district who had invested in chit fund companies in a virtual program organized at his residence office on Monday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that so far an amount of about Rs 40 crore has been returned to the investors who had invested in chit fund companies in the state. Our government is taking strict action against the cheating chit fund companies in Chhattisgarh. The money is being returned to the investors by attaching the properties of fraudulent chit fund companies. He said that chit fund companies in Chhattisgarh robbed the innocent people of their lifetime by luring them. Our government is trying its best that the investors get their money back. Talking to the Chief Minister, Mr. Ghanshyam Sahu, a resident of Uparwara of Durg in a virtual program, said that he had invested money in the chit fund by selling 2 acres of land. After sinking the amount, he did not expect that the money would be recovered. But due to the efforts of your government, today I am getting Rs 9 lakh back. My whole family is very happy with this. Teejan Bai of Khursipar told the Chief Minister that today I am getting Rs 3 lakh back. Now I will be able to get my children married easily. I had full hope that my money would definitely be returned in your presence.
