Due to not getting the right price for the produce, people do not want to do farming today, but Chhattisgarh is a state in the country where people are moving towards farming. The main reason for this is that farmers get fair prices for their crops. Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi said this in her address at the Urban Body and Panchayati Raj Mahasammelan organized in Kanker. Mrs Gandhi was overwhelmed when she was welcomed with Gaur Mukut at the program and also shared her memories of former Prime Minister Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru, late Indira Gandhi and late Rajiv Gandhi related to Bastar. He said that my grandmother always said that tribal culture is the best because it has deep respect for nature. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel promised to provide the facility of old pension scheme for the employees of Chhattisgarh State Power Company. Now the promotion ratio on the posts of Police Sub Inspectors will be increased from 33 percent to 40 percent and teachers will be appointed for teaching in local dialects like Halbi, Gondi, Surgujiha, Bhatri and Agriculture College Pakhanjur will be named after former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi. Mrs. Gandhi said that the foundation of the system of this country lies in the Panchayats and urban bodies. You all fulfill these responsibilities with great devotion. Chhattisgarh government is a government of trust. If you have faith in the government today, it is because we are enhancing the tradition of Chhattisgarh. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru came to you during the freedom struggle and understood your problems. He said that Indira Gandhi had come to Bastar in 1972. You must have seen the photo when she was dancing with the tribal women. My father late Rajiv Gandhi also came to you. All our public representatives made efforts to understand your problems, that is why this trust has been built.

Mrs. Gandhi said that the highest price for purchasing paddy is available here in the entire country. We have put your property into your hands. Your authority is assigned to you. In five years, 40 lakh people here have come out of the poverty line. There is a problem of stray animals in other states of the country. Here in Chhattisgarh your problems have been solved by Gauthan Scheme. He said that many schemes for women are being run in the state. The honorarium of Anganwadi workers and Mitanins has been increased. Girls are getting better education. Today these daughters of Bastar region spoke to me in English, it is pleasant.
