Raipur, 05 January 2021. The picturesque and beautiful and newly developed tourist destination of Korba district, the beauty of Satarenga and the immense water of the Hasdev River was touched by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. After a night stay at the resort of Satarenga, the natural beauty and calm atmosphere of the place captivated the mind of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. Later talking to the media, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that tourists from India and abroad will come to Satarega and enjoy the beauty of the place. The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is a state full of natural beauty. Be it Bastar or Surguja, Bilaspur or Baranvapara and now the beauty of Korba is the natural beauty everywhere, It is a delightful place. People should come here more and more and fill their stress and spend some happy moments here. Mr. Baghel oversaw the development work done in Sartenga from the point of view of tourism. He got information about the facilities developed here from Collector Mrs. Kiran Kaushal. The Chief Minister praised the resort, open auditorium at Sattarenga, boating arrangements as well as attractive gardens. He praised Collector Smt. Kaushal for all these development works and future ready plans for future development.
On January 04, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, during the stay in Korba, made a night stay in the cottage at Satarenga tourist destination, full of natural beauty, to promote tourism. The Chief Minister enjoyed spending time in the lap of nature with natural panoramic views at Satarenga, a tourist destination developed in the immense watershed of the Bango reservoir. Mr. Baghel also took a boat ride in the cruise boat in the tourist spot full of natural beauty the next morning. The Chief Minister enjoyed a cup of tea after reaching a 25-seater floating restaurant built amidst immense water amount. The Chief Minister will be accompanied by Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Charan Das Mahant, Minister of School Education and Minister in charge of Korba District, Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam, Revenue Minister Mr. Jaysingh Agarwal, Korba MP Mrs. Jyotsna Mahant, Mayor of Korba Municipal Corporation Mr. Rajkishore Prasad, former MLA Mr. Bodhram Kanwar was also sitting in the boat.
Boating facility with water sports, adventure sports with natural panoramic views has been developed at the tourist destination Satarenga. The newly built resort at Satarenga has an attractive park and open gym facility, lawns grass in the park with about ten thousand colorful flowers, swings and slippers in the Children’s Garden. The resort complex has an open theater equipped for cultural events, the theater has a step-by-step seating arrangement. Every evening, there is also a facility for tourists to organize campfires with folk dances, folk songs by local folk artists, familiar with the Chhattisgarhi folk culture. Cruise Speed Boat nearby Water sports facilities are available along with jet boats etc. A selfie point has also been created to take your photo with the natural beauty of Satarenga. “Satrenga cafeteria” is also being run by local women’s groups for food and drink facilities.
It is noteworthy that the development of local tourist places in Chhattisgarh is included in the priority of the state government. With the development of tourist spots of natural, historical and religious importance of the state, while Chhattisgarh is being identified at the national and international level, a large number of local people are also getting livelihood opportunities. Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, in collaboration with the Forest Department, has done development works at Satrenga in the year 2019-20 at a cost of Rs 20 lakhs under the head of the District Mineral Trust. The magnificent cottages, rest houses, glass houses and guest houses have been constructed for tourists in Satarenga. Various tourist places of the state are being developed by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board. Along with this, hotels, motels, resorts, cottages etc. are constantly being constructed for the convenience of tourists.
Chief Minister gave six crores rupees to 40 beneficiaries for fish farming – Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today visited the fisheries of Cage Culture at Satarenga tourist spot. During this, the Chief Minister provided a letter of acceptance of grant-in-aid amounting to Rs. 15 lakhs and 40 lakhs to fishermen cooperative society for 40 beneficiaries from cage culture for fisheries. The Chief Minister encouraged the fishermen committee members for fisheries. Cage platform has been set up by Fisheries Department for the fisheries at Satarenga at a cost of Rs 50 lakhs in the year 2020-21. Here tilapia and pangaceous fish are being reared from the cage culture. 40 direct and 100 indirect beneficiaries will receive annual income ranging from three lakh to three and a half lakh rupees from fisheries. Chief Minister fed the fish with his own hands- Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel observed the fisheries being carried out from the Cage culture at Sartenga, a tourist destination. After this, Mr. Baghel fed the pangaceous fishes with dana with his own hands. The Chief Minister praised the scheme to bring people from BPL to APL by rearing fish. He said that the benefits of fish farming are bringing those living below the poverty line into the general category. He lauded the fisheries being carried out at Satarenga by the fishermen committee.
Chief Minister interacts with district officials in a family atmosphere- Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today interacted with officials of all the departments of the district in the open theater Satarenga on the second day of his stay in Korba. He asked the officers to introduce him and got information about his family background. Mr. Baghel encouraged to do good work in the district and said to be ready and continue to serve people with integrity and honesty. The Chief Minister inquired about the ongoing works in the district and gave instructions to implement the schemes properly. He also suggested to motivate farmers to increase their income by growing wheat and vegetables after harvesting paddy while stressing on crop cycle change. The Chief Minister also started English Medium School with good quality at block level and IAS, IFS, All officers like IPS were also asked to teach their children in a government school. By which equality and unity will develop among the children of common people and poor children will also be encouraged to study in English schools.
