Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai accorded a warm welcome to the nominated Governor Shri Ramen Deka on his arrival in Chhattisgarh
The nominated Governor was welcomed with traditional folk dances and folk tunes
The swearing-in ceremony will be held on Wednesday at 10:15 am in the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan

On the arrival of the state’s nominated Governor Shri Ramen Deka and his wife Smt. Rani Deka Kakoti in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai gave them a warm welcome at the State Hangar. On this occasion, the nominated Governor Shri Deka said that Chhattisgarh is emerging rapidly in the development scene. We will work to take development to new levels here. He said that he thanks Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for appointing him as the Governor of Chhattisgarh. He said that he will play the role of a facilitator between the Center and the state so that the development of the state happens rapidly. He said that he will also work for cultural exchange between Assam and Chhattisgarh. Shri Deka said that his top priority is the development of the state.
On this occasion, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Raman Singh also greeted the Governor by presenting a flower bouquet. Along with this, cabinet members Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw, Agriculture Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary, Sports Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade also greeted the nominated Governor. The nominated Governor was given a guard of honour at the State Hangar. The Governor was welcomed with Chhattisgarh’s traditional dances Sua, Karma, Danda and Raut Nacha. On this occasion, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain and Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja along with senior officials were present.
He will take oath as the tenth governor
It is noteworthy that the nominated Governor of the state, Mr. Deka will take oath as the tenth Governor of the state on Wednesday, July 31 at 10:15 am in the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan. The Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Mr. Ramesh Sinha will administer the oath to him.
