Raipur, 11 June 2021. The Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, while duly inaugurating the three-day National Convention on Challenging the Challenges of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India here today, said that ICAI has chosen a very contemporary topic for discussion and discussion. He said that many challenges are present in front of us in the present time, which we can solve by taking strong will power and right decisions. The Chief Minister said that at present, there are many challenges including corona epidemic, climate change, environmental pollution, industry, business, economic condition of farmers and many other challenges.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel further said that the Chhattisgarh government is working by accepting these challenges as challenges. The Chief Minister said that in order to control the corona epidemic in the state, the Chhattisgarh government has taken many precautionary decisions and ensured its implementation with full determination, along with better management, strengthening and expansion of medical facilities. This is the reason why Chhattisgarh was able to recover from the outbreak of Corona epidemic as soon as possible. This three-day workshop is being organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in association with the convention Raipur, Bhilai and Bilaspur. The virtual inauguration of which was done by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel by offering prayers to Maa Saraswati at his residence office in Raipur. On this occasion, Madhya Bharat Central Council Secretary Shri Shashikant Chandrakar, Bilaspur Branch President Dinesh Kumar Agrawal, Raipur branch secretary Shri Ravi Gwalani and program coordinator Shri Sachendra Jain were present. About 6500 Chartered Accountants from all the states of the country including ICAI National President Shri Nihar Niranjan Jambusaria, National Vice President Shri Devashish Mitra, Central Council Member Kemisha Soni, Program Director Shri Sameer Singh participated virtually in this program.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said on the occasion that under Suraji Gaon Yojana of Chhattisgarh government, rain water harvesting, conservation and promotion of livestock, organic farming, promotion of nutritious food grains, production of fruits and vegetables and increase in the means of livelihood in the village. Narva, Garuva, Ghurva and Bari programs have been started with the objective of The Chief Minister said that through Godhan Nyay Yojana, cow dung is being procured in Gauthans and organic manure is being prepared from it. One year has not yet been completed, 48 lakh quintals of cow dung has been purchased through this scheme. Its objective is to strengthen the tradition of cow rearing and promote the production of organic food grains by reducing the dependence on chemical fertilizers. The Chief Minister said that due to the reckless use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the amount of toxic elements in food grains is increasing, which is directly affecting our health.
The Chief Minister said that in the 1970s, food grains had to be imported from abroad to meet the shortage of food grains in the country. Annadata accepted the challenge of making the country self-sufficient in the form of food grains. Today the situation is that the country has started producing more food grains than it needs. Farmers should get the price according to their hard work and cost. Paddy is produced more in Chhattisgarh. For two years, we have prepared a plan to prepare ethanol from the surplus quantity of paddy. But the central government is not giving permission. The Chief Minister said that this is a matter of concern. He said that this would lead to the execution of additional paddy. Production of ethanol will reduce the consumption of petroleum products and save money. The Chief Minister said that these challenges should be addressed at the national level. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also gave detailed information about the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion launched by the Chhattisgarh Government to promote tree plantation to protect the environment and to address the problem of air pollution.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel urged the Chartered Accountants Association to motivate the investors related to industry and business in the state of Chhattisgarh to invest. He said that in the new industrial policy of the state of Chhattisgarh, many attractive provisions have been made to promote industry and trade. The Chief Minister said that we are promoting new sectors like agriculture, forest produce as well as food processing, medicine, defense products, electronics, solar in the state. The state of Chhattisgarh has been successful in making the rural economy dynamic with steel production, agricultural production, forest produce even during the Corona period. Automobiles due to cash assistance to farmers, villagers, forest dwellers, From readymade garments to bullion market, we have done better business here. Chhattisgarh is also included in the leading states of the country in the parameters of Ease of Doing Business. You all will be happy to know that Chhattisgarh state has been recognized as a Performer State by NITI Aayog in the Composite SDG India Index evaluation of Sustainable Development Goals on June 3. The Chief Minister released a souvenir of ICAI on the occasion.
On this occasion, the National President of ICAI, Mr. Nihar Niranjan Jambusaria appreciated the help being given to MSMEs, economic revival, supporting the non-core sector through the new industrial policy of the state of Chhattisgarh.
