Raipur: Chhattisgarh government will give input subsidy of Rs.10,000 per acre on cultivation of other crops instead of paddy

The Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to provide input subsidy of Rs.10,000 per acre to the farmers who cultivate other identified kharif crops in exchange for paddy in the paddy area from the upcoming Kharif season 2021-22. This will encourage production of crops other than paddy in the state. The Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to give input subsidy of Rs 9000 per acre per year on all major kharif crops as well as paddy in Kharif season 2020-21 and paddy from 2021-22. Along with this, the support price of Kodo has been fixed by the Government of Chhattisgarh at 3 thousand rupees per quintal. Super compost fertilizer prepared in Gothan will be made available to the farmers at the minimum price of Rs 6 per kg.
In the year 2020-21, farmers who have sold paddy at the support price, if they take kodo-kutki, sugarcane, tur, maize, soybean, pulses, oilseeds, aromatic paddy, other fortified paddy crops or plantations in exchange for paddy So instead of 9 thousand rupees per acre, they will be given input subsidy of 10 thousand rupees. The planters will get a grant for three years.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, Education Minister Dr. Premasai Singh Tekam, Food Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat were present in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here today. In this meeting organized under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is being expanded from the upcoming Kharif season 2021-22 to include all the major kharif crops of maize, soyabean, sugarcane, kodo-kutki, arhar. It was also decided to give input subsidy to growers at the rate of 9 thousand rupees per acre per year.
The Chief Minister said that if farmers in paddy field in Kharif season 2020-21 cultivate other identified crops from the upcoming Kharif season 2021-22, then they will be given input subsidy of Rs.10,000 per acre. . Farmers who plant trees in the fields will be given an input subsidy of Rs. 10 thousand per year for the next three years.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel gave input subsidy of Rs.10,000 per acre to the agriculture department under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana on the cultivation of other crops instead of paddy, under the Gudhan Nyay Yojana for vermi compost. Along with this, now asked to make wide publicity of production of super compost and its selling price and profit so that more and more farmers of the state can take advantage of it.
In the meeting, it was also discussed in detail about the upgrade of this portal for registration of paddy as well as other crops in the registration portal of the agriculture department, Girdawari of Kharif crops and instructions to the officials of the concerned department to prepare its action plan. Dung produced manure ‘Super Compost’

In the meeting, along with vermicompost in Gowthan, the production and sale of organic manure compost from surplus cow dung was also discussed in detail in the meeting. The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel named the organic manure compost being prepared from surplus dung as super compost and directed to ensure its immediate marketing arrangements.
It is worth mentioning here that under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, the Gauthanas have been constructed in rural areas of the state from July 20, 2020, for the protection and promotion of livestock under the Suraji village scheme. In these Gothan, cow dung is being purchased at the rate of 2 rupees and from this, large scale vermi compost is also being manufactured through women self-help groups. Super compost fertilizer is also being produced from surplus cow dung in Gothan. Organic manure compost made from surplus cow dung, which is named Super Compost. This manure is actually basal dose manure. Which is prepared by composting dung. This is a better quality fertilizer, which farmers will be able to use in farming. This fertilizer will be made available to the farmers at the minimum price of Rs 6 per kg.
