Raipur: Chhattisgarh government gave gifts to employees before Diwali, 5 percent increase in DA

On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Finance Department has issued an order

Now those in the seventh pay scale will get 33 percent and those in the sixth pay scale will get 201 percent DA in the state.

The state government has given 5 percent DA (Dearness Allowance) increase to the officers and employees of the state before Diwali. On the instructions of the Chief Minister and Minister-in-Charge of Finance Department, Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the Finance Department has issued an order to increase DA today. The increased rate of DA will be effective from the current month of October. The amount of increased inflation will be paid in cash from October 1, 2022. After the increase of five percent in DA, those who get salary from the seventh pay scale in the state will get 33 percent dearness allowance. This order of increase in dearness allowance will also be applicable for UGC, AICTE and contingency salary employees.

The state government has increased the dearness allowance by 12 percent for the salary earners from the sixth pay scale. Now they will get 201 percent dearness allowance instead of 189 percent dearness allowance. The Finance Department has issued a circular regarding the increase in dearness allowance to all the departments of the state government, chairman, revenue board, Bilaspur, all the heads of departments, divisional commissioners and collectors. It is noteworthy that DA was being paid at the rate of 28 percent from August-2022 to the officers and employees of the state. At the same time, those in the sixth pay scale were getting dearness allowance at the rate of 189 percent.
