Raipur: Chhattisgarh got National Award for ‘Best Inland State’ and ‘Best Proprietary Firm’ in the field of fish farming

The state of Chhattisgarh received the Best Inland State award in the field of fisheries on the occasion of World Fisheries Day in Daman today. This program of giving national award by the National Fisheries Development Board was organized at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium Dunetha Daman. The award was received by Mr. NS Nag, Director, Fisheries Department, on behalf of the state. In the presence of the guests, the state of Chhattisgarh was honored with a prize of Rs 10 lakh and a memento as ‘Best Inland State’ award. On this occasion, Bharat Bala Aquaculture, a fishing firm of Bagaud village of Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh state, was also awarded as ‘Best Proprietary Firm’ with a prize of two lakh rupees and a memento. 

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey have congratulated the officers and employees of the department and all the people associated with the fisheries sector for Chhattisgarh state getting two national level honors in the field of fisheries.
