Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel also attended a virtual meeting organized on Kovid-19 management in various districts headed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Raipur, 20 May 2021. Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was also present in the virtual meeting organized by Prime Minister  Narendra Modi today in 60 districts of 11 states of the country to review the current status of Kovid-19 management and corona infection. Collectors of Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Raigad, Janjgir-Champa, Korba and Bilaspur districts of Chhattisgarh joined this meeting. Prime Minister Shri Modi, after discussing with the Collector of Janjgir-Champa, Mr. Yashwant Kumar, inquired about the status of Kovid management in the district. Chief Secretary  Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu, Principal Secretary of Health Department, Dr. Alok Shukla and Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi were also present in the meeting.
During the discussion, the Collector of Janjgir-Champa district said that according to the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, public awareness campaign was carried out in the district by identifying the more infected areas and intensive vaccination was done. He informed that 90 percent people have been vaccinated in 31 villages of Janjgir-Champa district. He informed that the first dose of vaccine has been applied to 100 percent health workers and front line workers in the district. In both these categories, 85 percent of the people have been given second dose. Soon all the people of these categories will be vaccinated. In the district, 70 percent of the people above 45 years of age have been vaccinated. Vaccination of people between 18 and 44 years of age has started. As the supply of vaccine increases, there will be rapid vaccination. The positivity rate in the district was 30 percent, Which has now come down to 14 percent. Very soon it will come down to 10 percent.
The collector informed that the state of health infrastructure in the district is good. There are a total of 1691 general beds in the hospitals of the district, of which 883 are vacant. Similarly, there are 621 oxygen beds in the district, out of which 303 are filled. 9 beds are filled in 20 beds of ICU. There are 150 beds available in the Kovid centers of the district. Yoga and TV have also been arranged in Kovid centers. He also informed that the availability of oxygen is surplus in collaboration with various industrial units in the district. 350 cylinders of oxygen are required in the district, while 550 cylinders are being supplied in the district. 100 jumbo cylinders and 90 oxygen concentrators have been provided in the district with the help of NGOs, Chamber of Commerce and Temple Trust Committee. He also said that many times RTPCR test report is received late, For this reason, kits of medicines prepared on the basis of the corona protocol are being distributed to patients with symptoms of corona infection in rural areas of the district. Due to which patients start treatment soon and their condition does not worsen. The collector also informed that in many villages, people have banned the movement of people coming from outside themselves, so that infection does not spread. In the district, 10 thousand packets of Ayush decoction have been distributed in the Haat markets. Post covid OPD has also been started in hospitals. So that the infection does not spread.
