Discussion with the Prime Minister on the issue of coal royalty, GST compensation

The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel called on the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, in New Delhi today. During this, Mr. Baghel discussed with the Prime Minister on various pending demands including speedy census, GST compensation, coal royalty. 
During the meeting, the Prime Minister mentioned the Holi festival organized at CM House. The Prime Minister said that we saw you singing Fag on Holi.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister presented a symbol of the state animal wild buffalo to the Prime Minister. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel told that he has urged the Prime Minister to get the census done soon. He said that there is a problem in the selection of beneficiaries due to lack of census after 2011. Many eligible beneficiaries are being deprived of the benefits of the schemes. In this regard, he had also written a letter to the Prime Minister in the past.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also placed the issue of GST compensation before the Prime Minister. He said that being a productive state, Chhattisgarh was facing shortfall in commercial tax revenue. From June 2022 till now, an amount of 1375 crores of GST compensation is pending with the Central Government, which should be provided soon.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also requested the Prime Minister for early payment of Rs 4,170 crore as royalty received from coal blocks as additional levy.
The Chief Minister said that he has also sought cooperation from the Prime Minister for the light metro service to be started from Nava Raipur to Durg.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel informed that the fourth permanent finance working group meeting of G-20 is going to be held in Chhattisgarh in the month of September. Discussion was held with the Prime Minister regarding its preparation. He told that guidance has also been received from the Prime Minister regarding the meeting. Mr. Baghel told that I have assured the Prime Minister for world class arrangements for the guests of G-20. 
The Chief Minister said that during the discussion on the Millet Mission in the last meeting, the Prime Minister had suggested starting Millet Cafe in Raipur. He told the Prime Minister that following this, millet cafes have been started in Raipur and other cities of Chhattisgarh.
