Chhattisgarh received three national awards for excellent work for the welfare of Divyangjans
Chhattisgarh has been awarded three National Awards for its excellent work for the welfare of Divyangjans. On the occasion of International Day of Disability, President Shri Ram Nath Kovind presented these awards to Chhattisgarh in a dignified program organized at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi today. The Women and Child Development Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mrs. Anila Bhendia received these awards at the hands of the President. On this occasion Secretary Social Welfare Department Smt. Reena Babasaheb Kangale, Director Shri P. Dayanand, Deputy Secretary Shri Rajesh Tiwari, Joint Director Shri Pankaj Verma were also present. Congratulating the winners of all categories for the National Award, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has also extended best wishes for doing best work in the interest of Divyangjan.
In the category of Best Braille Press, Braille Press operated by Social Welfare Department in Bilaspur for excellent work, Naya Raipur in the category of local body, Atal Municipal Development Authority for the excellent work of creating barrier free environment for persons with disabilities and Divyangjan Has been awarded the National Award as Best Employer for Self Employed and Best Employer in the category of Placement Officer/Agency to Nook Tea Cafe Ventures LLP of Samta Colony Raipur for Private or Non-Government Organization or Office.
Braille Press Bilaspur has received National Award for the remarkable work in online teaching of visually handicapped persons with text books, literature and informative books in Braille script as well as e-library under Sugamya Library. The Braille Press based in Bilaspur has prepared the ballot paper for the election along with preparing text material, literature for the visually impaired. Along with this, the facility of online library for the blind of Braille Press has helped the students a lot during the Corona period. Apart from this, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority has been given a national award for creating barrier-free environment in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar for road, building, public places and other places, construction of toilets for Divyangjan etc. As well as Nook Tea Cafe Ventures, LLP in Samta Colony Raipur. The Nukkad Tea Cafe is being efficiently operated by to connect the hearing impaired persons with self-employment. In this, the hearing impaired persons are providing their services to the general public. He was also awarded the National Award for his remarkable work in the direction of a positive environment towards persons with disabilities in the society.
