Chhattisgarh becomes winner in Outstanding Community Based Green Energy Project
Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority awarded with India “Green Energy Award 2024”

Chhattisgarh has again achieved success at the national level. Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority (CBDA) under the Energy Department of Chhattisgarh has been awarded the “India Green Energy Award, 2024” by the Indian Federation of Green Energy, New Delhi. Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority has become the winner in the “Outstanding Community Based Green Energy Project” category at the national level. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has congratulated and congratulated Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority for this achievement.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari presented this award to Shri Sumit Sarkar, Chief Executive Officer, CBDA, in New Delhi on 21 February. Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Rameshwar Teli was also present in the program.
It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority has done remarkable work by connecting rural farmers and beneficiaries in the field of biofuels and bio-energy for more than a decade. Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority has done many successful research and development works like biodiesel, bio-ethanol, biojet aviation fuel, bio-CNG, power generation from biogas and grid adjustment. The authority has been given the “India Green Energy Award, 2024” award in view of the achievements made at the state and national level due to its successful experiments.
