As per the wishes of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, special efforts are being made to save and beautify the major religious, archaeological and tourist places of Chhattisgarh. Chemical treatment and water roofing work is being done at the 11th century Bhoramdev temple located in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh government has sanctioned Rs 65.51 lakh for the strengthening of the Bhoramdev temple. Strengthening of the temple and other technical work has been started by experts and skilled workers of the Archaeology and Culture Department.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma recently discussed various proposals for the renovation of the Bhoramdev temple, increasing facilities for devotees and development of the temple complex with the Culture and Archaeology Department and eminent citizens and priests of Kabirdham district in his residential office. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma had directed the department officials to solve the problem of water leakage in the Bhoramdev temple during the rainy season. He has directed to complete the ongoing construction work and treatment before the Bhoramdev festival. He had given instructions to construct a shed for the devotees, shift the watchman quarters from near the temple to some other place and construct VIP guest room behind the temple, remove the wall and install grill and gate and maintain the ancient form of Bhairav temple, Chamunda Mata temple and Hanuman temple etc. during the renovation.
