Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board Chairman Justice (Retd) Mr. Minhajuddin and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sajid Memon today inspected the site of about 190 acres of waqf property (agriculture land) located in village Kamta of Jama Masjid Mungeli. Along with this, a meeting was held with the officials at rest house Mungeli regarding increasing the income of the mosque by giving the said Waqf land on lease under the provisions of the Waqf Property Lease Rule 2014 as amended in 2020.
In connection with the development of Waqf property, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Ra.) and Assistant Survey Commissioner, Waqf District Mungeli, Ms. Akanksha Shiksha Khalko, Joint Collector Mr. Ajit Pujari, Naib Tehsildar Mr. Ankit Rajput, Revenue Inspector, Patwari and other revenue officials in the meeting. It has come to notice that the Waqf property has been leased from the past at a very small amount, due to which the mosque is suffering financial loss. In the meeting, the office bearers of the committee along with the in-charge of the Waqf institution Mr. Shamsher Khan, secretary Mr. Syed Wahaj Ali, Mr. Nazir Khan and others were instructed to execute all the works of the institution as per the Act. During this Mr. Khalid Faridi, Board employees Iqbal Ahmed, Mohd. Tariq Ashrafi were also present.
