The state government is also ensuring quality health services in forest areas and remote areas. Jagdalpur District Hospital, Balrampur District Hospital and Kartala Community Health Center in Korba district located in remote areas of the state have been awarded various quality certificates by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for providing excellent health services and better treatment to patients. Government of India has issued Quality Certificate to Bastar District Hospital under National Quality Assurance Standard, LaQshya and Muskaan (MusQan) programme. Whereas Balrampur District Hospital and Kartla Community Health Center have been certified under NQS and Lakshya programme.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Mr. T.S. Singhdev has congratulated the doctors and other medical staff of these three hospitals who have received the Certificate of Excellence for their dedicated health services. He has expressed confidence that these hospitals will continue to maintain their excellence and serve the patients and set new benchmarks for other hospitals in the state. Government hospitals located in remote forests getting certificates under the National Quality Assurance Standard, Lakshya and Muskaan program is an indication that quality health facilities are reaching all areas in the state.
The Union Health Ministry team had inspected these three hospitals between March and June this year to test the quality of services available to the patients. The team also took feedback from the patients in this regard. After the evaluation of the Bastar District Hospital, the team has provided quality certificates to 12 departments under the target for NQS, labor room and maternity OT services and under the smile program for Pediatric and SNCU.
Ministry of Health has certified 12 departments of Balrampur District Hospital under the target program for NQS and Labor Room and Maternity OT for better services. Seven departments of Kartla Community Health Center have also been issued Quality Certificate by Government of India under target program for NQS and Labor Room and Maternity OT.
It is noteworthy that the services and satisfaction level of the hospital are tested on various parameters by a team of experts prior to certification under National Quality Assurance Standards, Lakshya and Muskaan programme. These include parameters such as services available, patients’ rights, inputs, support services, clinical services, infection control, quality management and outcomes. Only hospitals that meet these stringent standards are issued quality certificates by the Union Health Ministry.
