A case of making objectionable remarks against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has come to the fore. Raipur police has registered a case against a youth in this matter. Now the police is looking for the person who did this act on social media.

Actually the case has been registered in the Civil Lines police station of Raipur. Congress leaders had given a complaint application. According to the information received from the police, Sameer Sahu, a resident of Raipur, wrote some obscene things on Facebook against CM Baghel.

Police has registered a case against Sameer under sections 294, 504 of IPC. It is also being seen whether Sameer has connection with any political organization or not. At present, the arrest of the accused has not been done. Police is claiming to catch it soon.

Similar cases have come before

Two years ago, the Durg police had registered a case under Section 292 and IT Act against accused Santosh Kumar Thakur (48) for posting obscene posts against Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Facebook. It was also arrested.
In the year 2019, the police arrested a 34-year-old youth for making ‘indecent’ remarks for Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Lalit Yadav, a resident of Saragaon in Raipur district, had posted an ‘indecent and derogatory’ comment against the chief minister.
In 2022, the police registered a case against a woman named Vandana Rathore for allegedly posting a video with objectionable remarks against Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and other Congress leaders on social media platforms.
