Raipur, 27 April 2021. The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, discussed the media chiefs of the capital through video conferencing and took important suggestions from them at his residence office in the capital today. He said that there will be no shortage of funds to defeat Corona in Chhattisgarh. Corona is to be defeated as soon as possible with the cooperation of all in the state. In this, the contributions of all sections of society as well as the press and media cannot be forgotten. He said that the role of press and media is very important in the time of global epidemic like Corona.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that with the coming of the present government in the state, every possible initiative was taken for the expansion of health facilities and for better treatment of patients, health facilities have been increased manifold. At present, every necessary resource is being arranged promptly, keeping a constant watch on the condition of corona infection in the state. This is the reason that presently ICU beds, HDU beds and oxygen beds are sufficient in the state. He informed that there were 279 beds in the state in the year 2018, which has been increased to 729. Oxygen beds have been increased from 1242 to 7042. Earlier there was not even a single HDU bed, but now there are 477 HDU beds. There were 15001 general beds in the hospitals of the state, which has been increased to 29667. There were 204 ventilators in the state at the end of 2018, which has been increased to 593. In this way, the state’s health facilities have increased manifold.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that at present all necessary arrangements are being made for prevention and prevention of corona infection. Under this, kits of Corona medicines are being made available in every household in the rural areas. This is helping a lot in preventing infection. He said that so far 6 lakh 39 thousand 696 people have been infected in the state, out of which 5 lakh 9 thousand 622 people have recovered. At present one lakh 22 thousand 963 people are active infected. The active patient ratio is around 19.22 percent, while the recovery rate is 79.67 percent.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also informed that Chhattisgarh has left behind many developed and resource-rich states in the country in the case of Kovid vaccination. More than 53 lakh dose vaccines have been installed in the state and we are second in the big states of the country. We are going to create a new history in Chhattisgarh from May 1. Under this, people from 18 to 44 years of age will be given free of cost Kovid vaccine and a comprehensive action plan has been prepared for this. In this, both the Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech have been ordered for 25-25 lakh vaccine doses i.e. 50 lakh doses.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that we have resolved not to allow shortage of funds in this battle of Corona. The state has made a provision of Rs 880 crore in the health budget in these two years, Rs 50 crore in the SDRF this year. Here, the people have helped in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, which is an indication of the unwavering trust of the people on the government. With this fund, we have so far released 73 crore 53 lakh rupees to districts for the fight against Kovid. In this way, 1003 crore 53 lakh rupees have been spent so far in the health sector. At the same time, there is a deposit of Rs 53 crore 88 lakh in the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund. They will also be used in the Battle of Kovid.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel while discussing that the press and media are the front line workers of democracy. Even today, in the midst of the Kovid disaster, they are honestly performing their responsibility, it is commendable. He said that many confusing news regarding death, funeral, drugs, oxygen etc. in relation to corona infection is quite viral, which has negative effects on the public. In such a situation, he appealed to the media to remove the confusion and fear of the people and for the news that boosted the morale of the patients. He also said that the list of all journalists should be updated in the local public relations office, so that if a journalist is victimized Kovid can be provided financial assistance and help.
