Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uike attended the program organized on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti

Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey today attended Prakash Parv, the birth anniversary program of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh sect. On this occasion, Governor Ms. Uike said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji dedicated his life for the welfare of mankind by eradicating the distinction of religion and caste. Service to mankind was the main focus of his thoughts. He said that following the teachings of Sikh religious leaders, all people should engage in the work of human service.
Governor Ms. Uike attended the program of Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary organized at Khalsa School, Raipur today. He bowed before the holy Guru Granth Sahib and bowed down to the Sikh religious leaders. Addressing the Sikh gathering in the program, the Governor said that the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji have become more relevant for the society today. The acceptance of his teachings is beyond religions to all mankind. He said that we all should imbibe his teachings.
The Governor said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev was not only a great thinker and philosopher but also a social reformer. He was a supporter of hard work and honesty. He said that we should always earn money by hard work and honesty in our life. Along with this, it should also be used for public welfare. He started the practice of langar in Sikhism to eradicate discrimination from the society. In the langars, Sikh brothers serve food to everyone, whether rich or poor, with love. We do not find such a system anywhere else in the world. The light of knowledge spread through his teachings. By removing the evils from the society through his messages, he also worked to give a new direction to the society. He inspired to walk on the path of love, goodwill and brotherhood for world peace and human welfare.
Governor Ms. Uikey said that today we need to take a pledge that we will always follow the thoughts of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. By creating mutual harmony, harmony and love, we will play our part in the development of the country.
On this occasion, the Sikh community honored the Governor by presenting him a shawl and a saropa. The students of National Association for the Blind also sang Shabad in the program. On this occasion, an overview of the medical camp organized in the school premises was also done by Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey.
On this occasion, respected people of Sikh society including MLA duo Mr. Kuldeep Juneja and Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, Mr. Gurucharan Singh Hora and Mr. Mahendra Chhabra were present.
