More than half of the Gauthans of the state are buying cow dung from their own resources
The Chief Minister made an online transfer of Rs 7.83 crore as the 57th installment of the scheme to the accounts of the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyaya Yojana.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that buying cow dung by the Gothans with their own accumulated capital is a big success of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. More than half of the Gauthans in the rural areas of the state are procuring cow dung from their own resources. The state government does not need to give money to these Gauthans to buy cow dung. Out of Rs 4.62 crore paid to cow dung vendors today, Rs 2.88 crore has been paid by 4270 self-supporting Gothans and Rs 1.74 crore has been paid by the Agriculture Department. In the last fortnight, self-supporting Gothans of the state have paid more amount than the Agriculture Department for the purchase of cow dung. So far cow dung has been procured by the self-supporting Gothans from their own resources with an amount of Rs 29.61 crore.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was addressing the program organized for the transfer of funds to the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana in a virtual program organized at his residence office here today. The Chief Minister made an online payment of Rs 7 crore 83 lakh to the beneficiaries in the programme. In this amount, from November 16 to November 30, an amount of Rs 4 crore 62 lakh was transferred online to the accounts of cow dung sellers, cattle rearers, villagers, farmers and landless people in Gauthans. Similarly, Rs 1.28 crore was transferred to Gothan committees and Rs 1.93 crore as dividend to the accounts of women’s groups. Make baler machines available to more and more Gothans
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the youth and women of the state will play an important role in ‘Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh’. Youth and women are being included in the activities of Rural Industrial Park being developed in Gothans. With this, youth and women will get a good source of employment and income. Mr. Baghel said that the farmers themselves are doing Paradan in Gauthans. Farmers should be encouraged more for Paradan. When fodder and water will be arranged for animals in Gothans, then animals will live in Gothans instead of farming and roads. He instructed the officers to make efforts to provide baler machines for making bundles of para in maximum Gothans of the state. The Chief Minister said that such products should be prepared in the Rural Industrial Park on priority basis, which are needed by the government or which have good demand in the market.
In this context, the Chief Minister said that during a meeting in the Rajim assembly constituency, a woman told that she has earned Rs 4 lakh by printing the bags used for vermicompost. He said that youth and women should be trained to prepare good products. He said that through the Rural Industrial Park, a strong economy will emerge in the rural areas of Chhattisgarh in the coming times, which will be an example for the country and the world. The Chief Minister said that the amount being paid for the purchase of cow dung is continuously increasing. People are connecting with Gauthans, understanding the importance of cow dung and vermicompost. During the meeting, some Gauthan committees demanded to build sheds for economic activities with their own funds.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that 11 thousand 252 Gothans have been approved in the state, out of which 9 thousand 619 Gothans have been built, out of which 8440 Gothans have been built in rural areas. Out of these gothans, 4270 gothans have become self-supporting. Dung procurement, production and distribution of vermi compost is being done in coordination with various departments. Vermicompost production will become a big campaign in Chhattisgarh in the coming times. He said that the activities of RIPA will be further increased by involving the youth.
Dr. Ayyaz Tamboli, Managing Director of the Godhan Justice Mission, said that Rs 188.45 crore has been disbursed since the inception of the Godhan Justice Scheme in lieu of cow dung procurement and Rs 170.05 crore as dividend to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups. The amount has been paid. He informed that so far 19.82 lakh quintal vermicompost has been produced in Gothans. Out of this, 16.24 lakh quintal vermi compost has been sold. Dr. Tamboli told that so far 2.25 lakh quintals of para has been received from Paradan in Gauthans.
