Raipur, 19 March 2021.  Addressing the orientation and capacity development training session of the promoters and special teachers of Eklavya Adarsh ​​Residential School in the state, Director, Tribal Development Department, Smt. Shammi Abidi said that knowledge acquisition is a continuous process. A person keeps on learning something throughout his life and increases his knowledge. He said that it is an important task to teach the students in the rural environment and to create a better future for them. The principal and subject teacher of Eklavya Adarsh ​​Residential Schools is doing well. He said that take full advantage of the training session and inform the subject matter experts about their doubts, so that they can give a better solution.

It is noteworthy that the orientation and capacity development training program of the principals and subject teachers of Eklavya Adarsh ​​Residential School at Thakur Pyarelal State Rural Development Institute Nimora is going on from March 9, it will conclude on March 25. The main objective of the training program is to make teachers aware of new teaching methods, to increase professional competence among them. This will develop a better understanding of the subject, so that they can impart subject knowledge to the students through a very simple medium. It is worth noting that till now no training related to teaching has been given to the teachers based on the CBSE pattern. Through this training, they are being made aware of the nuances of teacher technique based on the CBSE board.

This four-day training program is organized in three phases. The first phase was held from 9 to 12 March. In this, English and social science teachers were trained. In the second phase, teachers of Hindi and science were trained from 15 to 18 March. All the trainees appreciated the training session and urged that such training sessions should be held at regular intervals. This has given an opportunity to learn new techniques related to teaching. After training, students will now be able to teach even more easily and effectively. The third and final phase of training has been held from 22 to 25 March. In this, the principals and mathematics teachers of Eklavya Adarsh ​​Residential School will be trained. Principals will be primarily exposed to the specifics of leadership ability and management during training.

The main objective of Eklavya Model Residential School is to provide quality education to the students of Scheduled Tribes and bring them at par with the general caste students and inculcate the spirit of competition in them and prepare them for success in competitive examinations. Classes of Eklavya Adarsh ​​Residential School are being conducted from class 6th to 12th. Teaching is being done in these schools as per the syllabus of CBSE from the year 2018-19. At present, 71 Eklavya Model Residential Schools are functioning in the state. These include 10 girls, 6 boys and 55 joint schools. There is a provision to admit 420 children in every school from class 6th to 12th at the rate of 60 seats per class.

The training program is being provided free of cost by the subject experts of Azim Premji Foundation, a reputed national level.
