Raipur, 14 December 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel made several big announcements for the development of the district today while addressing a huge general meeting at the Rajiv Gandhi Postgraduate College ground in Ambikapur, the headquarters of Surguja district. The Chief Minister took initiative to open horticulture college at Sitapur, Biodiversity Park at Mainpat, State Government level to start air service from Darima Airport, for strengthening of Banaras road and construction of roads connecting Block Headquarters to Divisional Headquarters Made announcements.
The Chief Minister inaugurated and performed bhoomi poojan of 110 different construction and development works costing about Rs 633 crore 88 lakh in the program. He also distributed checks and material of grant-in-aid to the beneficiaries under various schemes of the government. On this occasion, the Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Shri T.S. Singhdev, School Education Minister Dr. Premasay Singh Tekam, Food Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Chintamani Maharaj, Sarguja Area Tribal Development Authority Vice President Mr. Jupiter Singh, State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Mr. Ram Gopal Agrawal was also present.
