Raipur, 27 July 2021. A bill regarding acquisition of Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, Durg will be introduced in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. The draft of the Acquisition Bill for this medical college has been approved in the state cabinet meeting held on July 20.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey has said that the Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to acquire Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, Durg in the interest of the entire people and students of Chhattisgarh and for the purpose of rapid expansion of medical education in the state. With this a ready infrastructure can be acquired in the form of a medical college. He said that usually it takes about Rs 500 crore and a lot of time to prepare the infrastructure of a medical college. With the acquisition of 150-seat Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, Durg, recognized by the Medical Council of India, the people of the state will be able to get the benefit of one more government medical college at only half the cost.
