Raipur: Bilaspur and Surajpur district hospitals received quality certificate under National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS)

Both the hospitals also received quality certificate under Lakshya and Muskaan Yojana under National Health System Resource Center (MHSRC)

Bilaspur and Surajpur district hospitals of Chhattisgarh have been selected for quality certificate in the National Quality Assurance Standards Program run by the National Health System Resource Center (MHSRC). Along with this, Bilaspur and Surajpur district hospitals have also been awarded quality certificates for the Lakshya and Muskaan programs.

The NHMRC team did the evaluation work in Bilaspur District Hospital from 5 August to 7 August. In this, eight departments (Accident and emergency, blood bank, IPD, laboratory, OPD, maternity ward, pharmacy and general administration) were assessed for NQAS. The overall score of Bilaspur District Hospital in the assessment was 84.45 percent, on the basis of which the hospital has been awarded the NQAS Quality Certificate. The NHMRC team did the evaluation work in Surajpur District Hospital from 22 July to July. The overall score of Surajpur District Hospital was 91.87 percent.

Along with this, maternity OT and labour room were assessed under Lakshya scheme and pediatric OPD, SNCU, pediatric ward and NRC were assessed under Muskan scheme. Quality certificate has been provided to district hospitals Bilaspur and Surajpur under both these schemes.    

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and the direction of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the health system of the state is continuously improving. In this episode, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has expressed happiness for this big success achieved by Bilaspur and Surajpur District Hospital and has congratulated the hospital management as well as the district administration.
