Industries Minister Shri Kawasi Lakhma gifted development works worth Rs 11 crore 30 lakh to the residents of Bijapur. On this occasion, he said that rapid changes are taking place in Bijapur. People are joining the mainstream. Now school bells are heard here, he said that tribal areas are being developed on priority under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. 
Industries Minister Mr. Lakhma said that due to the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, farmers have been freed from the burden of debt, tribals are getting associated with farming after getting forest rights leases. Land leveling, dubri construction is being done. In order to increase the income of farmers, they are being motivated to get involved in horticulture, horticulture crops and animal husbandry. Farmers are becoming prosperous and happy by purchasing paddy on support price and Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. The number of registered farmers is continuously increasing. For the first time, forest rights pattas are being given in urban areas as well. And the farmer, Gaita Perma Manjhi, is being given Rs 7,000 a year under the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Labor Justice Scheme. Regional MLA Mr. Vikram Mandavi expressed gratitude to Industry Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma for giving the gift of development works.

Industries Minister Shri Lakhma performed Bhumi Pujan of 85 works at a cost of 9 crore 62 lakh. Mainly in the wards of Bijapur city, construction of CC road, RCC drain and RCC culvert at a cost of Rs.
